„SPACE – A Visual Journey“ opening tour
13th of September 13.00
SPACE – A Visual Journey
As autumn arrives, Fotografiska turns its gaze toward the stars with the major exhibition “SPACE – A Visual Journey.” Here, art meets science on the horizon, blending research and creativity. The grandeur of the universe is captured both through the eyes of astronomers and the interpretations of artists. Through the perspectives of 14 artists, the exhibition explores profound questions: Who are we in this eternal cosmos, and who has the right to dream of the future?
Guided Tour with Artists and Curator – September 13, 1 PM
On September 13, Fotografiska will host a guided tour with the exhibition’s artists and curator. This journey leaves earthly concerns behind and delves into the stories behind visually powerful and diverse works. Artists Mackenzie Calle, Michael Najjar, Brooke Holm, and Petri Eskelinen, together with curator Johan Wikner, will share insights on their creative processes, sources of inspiration, and the urgent cosmic themes their works explore. Expect an inspiring, unique, and perspective-expanding art experience.
Exhibition Opening Party – September 12, 8 PM–2 AM
The exhibition opens on September 12 at 8 PM, in sync with Fotografiska’s Friday Night Zone. To step into the right cosmic orbit from the start, we recommend entering through the side door and ascending via the outdoor stairs. After exploring the exhibition, the “shuttle” will carry you to the sixth floor, where the sound journey begins at 10 PM. Sander Mölder, Muudu, and Kostja will launch their new single and keep us orbiting in music until the early hours.
