„SPACE – A Visual Journey“ opening with cosmic theme party
Exhibition opening party on September 12, halfway to space (6th floor)
SPACE – A Visual Journey
This autumn at Fotografiska launches at cosmic speed, with the season’s opening event shooting into unprecedented heights.
On the evening of September 12, the galaxy doors open with the major exhibition “SPACE – A Visual Journey.” Here, science and art meet — the vastness of the universe captured both through the lens of scientists and astronomers as well as the interpretations of artists. Through the work of 14 artists, big questions emerge: Who are we in this eternal cosmos, and who even has the right to dream about the future?
The exhibition opens on September 12 at 20:00, alongside Fotografiska’s Night Shift program. To board the right shuttle straight away, we recommend entering through the side door and taking the outdoor stairs — so you’ll already be in the cosmic flow from the very beginning. After exploring the exhibition, the shuttle will carry you up to the 6th floor, where at 22:00 the sound journey begins — Sander Mölder, Muudu and Kostja will launch their new single and keep us orbiting in music until the early morning hours.
Meanwhile, Fotografiska’s food & beverage team is experimenting with what flavors might even be experienced in space. The result: surprising, otherworldly combinations where everything is allowed — though served in portions sized for space travel. Think galactic taste rather than earthly abundance.
Exhibition opening & theme party: September 12, 22:00–02:00
Dress code: No limits. You may land straight from a spaceship, wear your favorite planet on your outfit, arrive as a cosmic engineer or a dreamer… or simply cover yourself in stardust. Push the boundaries of your own universe and take inspiration from our space portal.
NB! This spaceship is not made of rubber — space is limited. Make your decision early and trust yourself in Fotografiska’s hands. See you on September 12 — among the stars!
