On April 4th at 6 PM, we invite you to a photo tour where Aljona Eesmaa and Helene Vetik will introduce the dreamlike and fairy-like exhibition "Un/Masked" by the rising star of photography, Elizaveta Porodina, and speak more about her role in contemporary fashion photography.
Aljona Eesmaa
Aljona Eesmaa is a well-known media relations expert with rich experience not only in public relations but also as a fashion editor and stylist. Today, she leads the fashion and design dedicated web portal Portail. Over the years, Aljona has helped organize various fashion events, mentored young emerging fashion brands, and shared her knowledge of fashion media with various audiences, including students at the Estonian Academy of Arts.
Helene Vetik
Helene Vetik is one of the most awarded creative directors and graphic designers in Estonia. She has a passion for colors, history, and eclecticism in fashion. You might have seen Helene's lifestyle shaping on Instagram, attended her lectures at the Estonian Academy of Arts and Estonian Business School, sought design advice from her creative studio Hmmm, or simply read her insightful TV series reviews in Areen. Vetik is a creative multi-instrumentalist who keeps her finger on the pulse of various forms of visual self-expression.
Who is Elizaveta Porodina?
Having emigrated from Russia as a child and with a background in clinical psychology, Elizaveta became a photographer almost by chance, but in recent years, she has been one of the most sought-after fashion photographers – creating campaigns for several prestigious fashion houses and shooting world-famous stars for major magazine covers.
The exhibition "Un/Masked" summarizes Elizaveta's work in recent years, covering both art and fashion photography. In her experimental, dreamlike, and sometimes surrealistic photos, she blends the past and present, taking the viewer on a journey through time and space.
Elizaveta Porodina's exhibition "Un/Masked" will remain open until April 14, 2024.
About the event
* The photo tour will take place in the "Un/Masked" exhibition hall on the third floor of Fotografiska from 6 PM to 7 PM. The tour is in Estonian.
* The ticket price includes access to other exhibitions at Fotografiska. The museum will close at 8 PM on that day, so it's more convenient to visit the exhibitions before the start of the photo tour.
* If desired, refreshments such as champagne or other preferred beverages can be purchased from the downstairs café.
