We invite you and your whole family to Aleksei Turovski's special tour at the Simen Johan exhibition "Until the Kingdom Comes".

In this particular photo tour, we focus on the animals depicted in Simen Johan's photos and bring them back to their natural habitat through Aleksei's knowledge. The most insightful answers about these animals' lifestyles and natural habitats can only be provided by Estonia's most renowned zoologist and excellent storyteller, Aleksei Turovski.

Aleksei Turovski:

Aleksei Turovski (born on August 4, 1946, in Moscow) is an Estonian parasitologist, ethologist, zoosemiotician, mythologist, and paleontologist. He graduated from Tallinn Secondary School No. 19 in 1965. In 1973, he graduated from the University of Tartu, Faculty of Biology and Geography, with a degree in zoology, having also studied chemistry for two years.

Since 1972, he has been working at the Tallinn Zoo as a parasitologist, tour guide, and excursion leader. From 1976 to 2001, he worked at the Estonian Marine Institute. He teaches animal psychology and zoosemiotics at the University of Tartu and Tallinn University.
