„NUDE” poetry: a fusion of verse and photographic art
9. jaanuar 18.00
Last autumn, the Fotografiska exhibition “NUDE” garnered widespread public interest. This showcase, bringing together the honest, raw, and unfiltered interpretations of the naked body by 32 female artists, can be visited until January 19. As a grand finale to this popular and thought-provoking exhibition, a special event will take place on January 9, offering a powerful fusion of photography and poetry.
Just like photography, poetry transcends the boundaries of time and space. On this special evening, two creative languages will speak simultaneously in the exhibition halls, taking the audience on a journey through the captivating, sharp, and meaningful landscapes of photopoetry and verse. In each gallery space, time will pause for a moment to allow photography and poetry to intertwine. Estonian poets, inspired by the “NUDE” exhibition, will present their works, turning photos into poetry and poetry into photos. The “NUDE” exhibition will conclude as an uplifting, unrestrained, and refreshingly contemporary experience – just as it has been throughout its run.

Exhibition “NUDE”
Autumn at Fotografiska kicked off with a bang as the exhibition “NUDE” (or “Bare Naked”) opened its doors. Featuring 32 female artists, including Estonians Cloe Jancis and Marlen Kärema, the exhibition redefines the traditional portrayal of the naked body. Through diverse creative approaches, it presents the body in its shameless honesty and glory, contemporary freshness, and liberated essence, all seen through a woman’s gaze. The result is an environment where conventional roles are dismantled, habitual perspectives are challenged, and power hierarchies are reversed.
