Corbijn Sessions #7: Depeche Mode party

Corbijn Sessions at Fotografiska

Corbijn Sessions is a music-focused special program accompanying the entire Anton Corbijn exhibition at Fotografiska. It showcases a mix of large and small, intimate and crowded, intense and vibrant Corbijn experiences, including parties, DJ sets, performances, film screenings, workshops, special tours, and more.

Depeche Mode party

On 20 March, the Corbijn Sessions turn their spotlight on Depeche Mode – a true cult band from the very heart of modern music. Timeless pioneers on the edge of dark pop and honest electronic sound, Depeche Mode have shaped generations with their melancholic, seductive, and tension-filled music.

Equally legendary is the band’s decades-long creative collaboration with Anton Corbijn – more than enough reason to celebrate with a dedicated Depeche Mode special party as part of the Corbijn exhibition.

The evening begins with a panel talk exploring the shared creative journey and cultural impact of Depeche Mode and Anton Corbijn. After that, the night transforms into a Depeche Mode party – an immersive experience filled with the band’s darker sonic gems, set against Corbijn’s iconic, shadowy visual universe.

The event takes place in the Anton Corbijn exhibition hall at Fotografiska.
The line-up will be announced soon. Early birds can already secure their tickets and mark the date in their calendars.

Depeche Mode - Personal Jesus

Anton Corbijn at Fotografiska: 24 January – 30 April

Anton Corbijn’s distinctive style has strongly shaped the visual language of modern music and culture. His major retrospective, Corbijn, Anton, spans five decades of creative work. Each frame in the exhibition features a figure rendered in Corbijn’s signature moody style, someone who is at once familiar and mysterious.

With over 150 works on display, the exhibition offers an authentic and extraordinary glimpse into a world inhabited by icons like Depeche Mode, David Bowie, U2, Patti Smith, and many others—artists who have left their mark, and whose mark Corbijn has captured.

The experience is enhanced by a powerful video room featuring Corbijn’s videography and iconic music videos that have influenced generations. Corbijn’s legacy in music and visual culture is undeniable, and this exhibition celebrates that enduring impact.
